Aquaman finds himself caught between a surface world that ravages the sea and the underwater Atlanteans who are ready to revolt.

The extended trailer for James Wan’s Aquaman has been released and it’s our best look yet into the standalone Arthur Curry film that DC fans have been waiting for. Original planning from the studio had the movie hitting theaters this past summer, and then pushed back to this fall, but it will now come out at the end of December.

Aquaman has been teased in the past, most notably from the San Diego Comic-Con first trailer, but that footage is nothing compared to what the studio has gifted us today in honor of New York Comic-Con.

Aquamanstarring Jason Momoa in the title role. The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime-one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be… a king.

Aquaman is all set to hit theaters on December 21st, 2018, in 3D and 2D and IMAX, and will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures. The film is rated PG-13 for sequences of sci-fi violence and action, and for some language. December is just around the corner, which means that DC fans don’t have to wait too much longer to see Jason Momoa’s Arthur Curry in his first standalone movie.

Aquaman is the first DC project to come out since last year’s disastrous Justice League. You can watch the extended trailer found at the top this page, thanks to the Warner Bros. Pictures YouTube channel.
