The Apps have been well received by entrepreneurs, such as one entrepreneur who notes “Time Management has been a breeze since using Jamaker. Overnight it became possible to organize and better serve our clients” – Gayle Media Services.
The App has tools such as a planner, notepad, budget and an Invoicing tool. These tools descriptive:
Planner – Includes a Calendar and To-Do List and allows you to create your own Kanban/SCRUM boards within the Planner to manage tasks in stages.
Notepad – a safe place to record and organize any kind of text information that you or your team may later need to reference. For example: The minutes of a meeting.
Budget – The income, expense and balance values are now being graphed to give a quick overview of spending trends. Multiple Budgets may also be created within a single project. This is especially useful if multiple accounts are being traced.
Invoicing – You can create an Invoice and send it via email (or copy the direct link) to your customer, who may make a payment using their Credit Card or PayPal Account. Jamaker charges a fee of 1.7% in addition to the 2.9% + 30c Credit Card fee or PayPal’s processing fees.
Other Areas noted within the app but no visible on the dashboard were:
Inventory – allows you to manage your Inventory by listing stocks, Tracking stock ins and out; and Sharing a direct link to your Inventory for customers to place orders.
Real Estate – You may manage the relationship with your Landlord/Tenant to save both parties a good deal of time. By using the Real Estate toolkit, Landlords may enlist their properties and add Tenants to these properties. Jamaker automatically reminds Tenants of upcoming rental payments and keeps track of payments made in a budget. Tenants may also request or schedule services needed for their homes.
The app is monetized via the aforementioned invoicing fees and its Subscription plans which I make the assumption will unlock the Inventory and Real Estate features.
There is a monthly and annual plan with the monthly plan starting at $7.99 per month, that is $95.88 USD. The annual plan, on the other hand, offers a rewarding 25% discounted rate of $71.99 USD per year.
My 2 cents: I Came across this via a Facebook Ad so I can say they are marketing this quite well. I, however, don’t like the fact that once I signed up and logged into the app, which was quite quick, I was forced to go through a tutorial.
Tutorials/Tours are a great way to let new users understand the User Interface but the option should be visible to skip the tour.
Not only is this app aimed to solve accepting online invoices/payments via CC/PayPal but giving the local Jamaican business organization the tools they need to organize their business for success.
Overall from personal experience, this app has a great experience and I look forward to seeing being used by local/Jamaican entrepreneurs and business organizations.
