Samsung revealed its smartwatch, the “Galaxy Watch” thanks to a mistaken product listing on its Samsung US website, according to CNET. The leak comes long before the product’s announcement or launch.
The error was quickly captured by @sugabeticme and later send as a tip to CNET via Twitter. Here is a screenshot of the Listing in question:
The image is shown under “related products”, showed a rose gold device with a model number of “SM-R810NZDAXAR” looks very similar to the Gear Sport with a 42mm case.
Specifications & Pricing
Sadly the leak only gave us a glimpse of how the Galaxy Watch looks. Undoubtedly inclusive of Bluetooth connectivity features, Questions as to the Watch’s pricing, specifications, product page and availability remain to be seen on its announcement/launch.
Thought the listing was still visible by CNET at the time their report, The listing was swiftly removed. The devices model number doesn’t match up with the recent FCC filings, though the “R800” numbering matched the product line.
