WIFI is the technology that allows us to access Wireless Internet access to our smartphones, PCs, and Tablets.

The WIFI Alliance, The organization in charge of managing the naming of new WIFI conventions recently made a change to their naming scheme of the WIFI versions aimed at making versions more consumer friendly.

The WIFI Alliance notes that the new scheme won’t be used for versions before WIFI 4 but our infographic should give you an idea of what the previous versions would be if given the same generational naming.
